our department thought our internal teams would handle this sort of thing - but after our discovery call, the penny dropped as to why we don't....

..I didn't think it was going to work for our brand, as I couldn't see a Japanese commercial anywhere - once it was explained that each commercial is created to our target customer, it all made sense.

The commercial brought roughly an extra £9,000 in the first month...
...after posting the commercial and getting 36k views with only a £200 marketing campaign and competition copyright behind it...

The creative is across our entire hotel's internal monitors, email campaigns and socials boosting professionalism and trust to our customers...

This always-on brand film was created for Alston Bar & Beef, positioned beneath Glasgow Central Station, using location as a narrative hook to immediately ground the viewer.
The commercial follows a couple approaching the restaurant from two different journeys, one arriving by train, the other by taxi - visually reinforcing accessibility while building anticipation. By leading with movement through a recognisable landmark, the film allows viewers to subconsciously map where the restaurant is before ever seeing the interior.
Once inside, the pace slows. Stabilised, cinematic shots highlight service, steak preparation, desserts, drinks, and the intimate atmosphere of the space. The story remains understated, allowing lighting, composition, and detail to communicate quality and confidence without overt narrative or dialogue.
Designed as a performance-driven brand asset, the film was built to live across social media with supporting cutdowns and paid placements, reinforcing trust, polish, and consistency. Shot in a single day with a lean, agile crew, the project was handled end-to-end by CommercialsGroup, from concept through final delivery.
The result was a refined, romantic portrayal of Alston’s that elevated perception while clearly communicating both experience and location, making the restaurant feel considered, premium, and easy to choose.
It’s not just about the meal, it’s about the journey that leads you there.
