our department thought our internal teams would handle this sort of thing - but after our discovery call, the penny dropped as to why we don't....

..I didn't think it was going to work for our brand, as I couldn't see a Japanese commercial anywhere - once it was explained that each commercial is created to our target customer, it all made sense.

The commercial brought roughly an extra £9,000 in the first month...
...after posting the commercial and getting 36k views with only a £200 marketing campaign and competition copyright behind it...

The creative is across our entire hotel's internal monitors, email campaigns and socials boosting professionalism and trust to our customers...

This commercial was produced for Sanjugo Victoria to support the opening of its Victoria location and expand the brand’s appeal to families while maintaining its reputation for authentic Japanese cuisine.
The film centres on reunion and togetherness. A family arrives in London from different places, suitcases in hand, gradually regrouping before receiving a message that their table is ready. Using subtle CGI, the notification becomes a visual cue that draws them toward Sanjugo, guiding the story naturally into the restaurant experience.
As the family enters, the focus shifts to warmth and hospitality. Friendly staff, welcoming smiles, and a calm, inviting atmosphere establish trust immediately. Probe lenses and detailed cinematography then take over, highlighting the precision, craftsmanship, and care behind every dish - reinforcing that this is not just convenient dining, but quality worth gathering for.
Although shot during winter, the visual tone was intentionally crafted to feel bright and summery. Controlled lighting, exterior light punch-throughs, haze, and fog were used to bathe the interior in a warm glow, creating an inviting environment that felt timeless and season-agnostic.
Alongside the core brand film, multiple variations were produced to support specific campaigns, including Mother’s Day and a £500 gift card scratch-card promotion. These assets formed the foundation of a wider social media rollout, supported by UGC content that extended reach and relatability.
Delivered end-to-end by CommercialsGroup - from concept and production to campaign execution. The project strengthened Sanjugo’s positioning as a restaurant built on family values, authenticity, and consistency across all locations.
This film was about reminding people that great food tastes even better when it’s shared.
